Born in 1957 at Hasegaon, District Osmanabad, Maharashtra. Diploma in Drawing and Painting from Government College, Aurangabad,Diploma in Art Education from J.J. School of Arts, Mumbai. Exhibition of paintings in many art galleries since 1984. Published essays in the catalogs of many important painters. Lectures and workshops on art at several national art institutions. Attended many painting camps. Retired as art teacher from Sir JJ School of Arts, Mumbai.
He is the recipient of the Raza Fellowship (2013) for his project on studying the less known artists of progressive artists’ group.
