Piyush Thakkar (b.1979) completed his BFA and MFA in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU Baroda.A poet, painter and art writer, has written and published several essays on the appreciation of art in Gujarati. Lakhun Chhun… is his first collection of poems in Gujarati published by Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi (2015). Piyush is currently working as an Assistant Professor, at the Department of Painting, Faculty of Fine Arts, MSU and concurrently associated with Balvant Parekh Centre for General Semantics and Other Human Sciences, Vadodara.
He is the recipient of the Raza Fellowship (2014) for his project on V.S. Gaitonde, a renowned painter.
